About us
The University of Tartu College of Foreign Languages and Cultures was created on the 1st of January 2015 by joining the UT Institute of Germanic, Romance and Slavonic Languages and Literatures and the UT Language Centre.
Ever since the opportunities for learning foreign languages have been bigger than ever before. Aside BA and MA programmes, students across the University of Tartu (and also from other Estonian universities) have the opportunity to learn more than 20 different languages, many of which are also taught on the basis of English or Russian. The courses offered by the college are free of charge for all students of the university.
The University of Tartu is among the biggest continuing education providers in Estonia. Among a variety of training programmes offered by the university, non-students are also welcome to take part in the same language and culture courses which are available to students.
